Benitez satisfied with 'fantastic start' - Rafael Benitez described Liverpool's opening Champions League victory over Monaco as a 'fantastic start' to their European campaign. Last season's runners up were beaten 2-0 but Liverpool wasted a hatful of chances to really embarrass the French side.Just when all the running dogs of Liverpool were about to write off Liverpool, the Liverpool team beat the African Champion Monaco 2:0 (er...er....Junior, that is Morroco...). I must say it was a handsome display by Liverpool with so many open chances and they could have scored more (Mr. Houllier, creating chances are NOT good enough. In football, you need to put the ball in the net to score). Well, 2:0 is not a bad results. You don't need to score 20, 30 times in a football game. This no basketball.
Luis Garcia was really good. I would say he is the player who Liverpool has been missing for so many years. I think not many team will be able to come to Anfield and boss the midfield. WE really have a good team of midfield (well, at least we do not have to rely on the monkey Diof).
If the team could have a little bit more confident and beat Man Yao this coming Monday. Liverpool will fear the champion Arsenal nomore.....(er...er...fear does not mean that we could win...:D)
