The Lion Roars

There isn't any interesting news recently. I am not interested in Collin Powel. I suppose, Samy Vellu looks like him, so i could talk about him:-

KEPALA BATAS: The fate of consultant firm, Project Management Consultant (PMC), which was taken to task for constructing 16 schools and five colleges with serious structural defects, will depend on a report by the Works Ministry. “The Government has discussed PMC's role, and many panellists in the discussion expressed dissatisfaction with several of its projects. “So, the Cabinet decided that the Public Works Department be made to supervise infrastructure projects, instead of PMC. “We will wait for a complete report by (Works Minister) Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu with regard to the role of the PMC,” Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told reporters at his Hari Raya open house at Dewan Milenium yesterday.

So he (Samy lor) is not the culprit? I have blamed the wrong guy in the past few years? Tiu lor....Samy ma very 'mou gu'?

The PMC was a joke, wasn't it? It sounds like a division set up just to 'reap' money. Don't you think so? If you want an example of cronysm (how to spell this ha?) , this is it. Since PMC was set up under the instruction of MOF (ministry of finance), so.....all Dr M, 'Squeky Clean' Annuar who fought against a corrupted person (this is what he said), Hero Tun Daim and even our Ah Wi (our PM lor) should know about it right (All of them have been the Finance Minister ma)?

How come no action was taken? I guess ice that is as thick as 3 ft, is not due to 1 day cold (you have to be a hard core chinese ed to understand this wonderful ah beng translation)

Sometimes you wonder how many dirty things like this are hidden in our system. This is what I call the 'blind spot' in a system, be it in a government or a company. It is a spot which someone knows about it but yet ignore it and could not see it. But the blind spot kills.

This is the test for Ah Wi. I want to see whether he really has the gut to take action or at least rectify some of the damages done.

In the same article of the link, Ah Wi said that the MOF would try to solve the DRB tussle. Weiii, excuse me, I have never seen other government gets involved in a corporate takeover. Let the market settle it la. Let them fight la. You think they are in the primary ah? Two kids fighting and call their parents ah?

Sigh, I guess the real boss behind the 2 tycoons have too much influence lor. Sigh..... ....we are still far from being a transparent country afterall.

Sigh............ can someone please print the following line into car sticker and sell it for RM300 each and bank it into my Maybank account:-

"No more toking, actions wanted!"

What took you so long from posting your first comment....? (kakakak like I know you)....

Indeed, the current government is a lot more transparent than the previous one. Under the old 'regime', no one dared to say anythign sensitive.

But I also wanted to point out that it is not good enough to be more transparent, more actions are needed.

Just my view laaaaaaaaa
