I love EPF
PM: Trace the student loan defaultersPETALING JAYA: Trace them and make them pay up, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) on the high number of student loan defaulters. He also lambasted the attitude of defaulters, who have jobs but refuse to repay their loans, as “unforgivable.”
“They (PTPTN) must know who owe them and what they are doing now,”
It was reported that PTPTN had RM7bil in arrears, which had accumulated over the years, forcing it to borrow RM2bil from the EPF in 2003.
No money? Borrow from EPF la...
Need Cash ah? Get from EPF la....
Boh Lui ah (no money)? EPF 'Tai Ba' (got a lot)
Few days ago I did not understand why EPF made a big hoo ha when they declared 4.75% dividend and they were soooooooooooooooooooo proud of it.
If Mao-mi works in EPF, she could close one eye and put all her money into AAA bonds and the yield is 5 to 5.25%....the returns would have been higher than our EPF...(well, I understand it is difficult to invest so much money...but 4.75% is really not that flash)
Now I understand. EPF is also the piggy bank to every other government organisation....
