Since this blog started in Aug 2004, I have received a couple of questions and comments through email and msn chat. I saved some of them. I think it is a good idea to share with everyone so that you know Juniortok better:-What is the purpose of this blog?

It is very difficult to understand your Singlish….
First of all, I am not Singaporean. If my mum did not lie to me and she indeed is my natural mother, then I am sure that I was born in Malaysia. My English is bad because I do not double check my spelling and grammar before I click on ‘Publish this Post’. I simply write whatever that came to my mind. You can say I am ‘real’ or straight forward. But I am just lazy.
My advice is that:-
Dun pay attention to the grammar or spelling. That is not the point. Read with an open mind and I am sure you will get what I am trying to say. You can also find a very obvious ‘style’ – I use a lot of foul language, hokkien, Chinese, rubbish and non-sense, warp logic. But in the end, I always want to deliver a point (although my effort is not very much revealed).
p/s this dude KP used to help in correcting my spelling. Now he has given up liao….
Learn some Chinese especially cantonese, and ‘english translated directly from Chinese, Malay. Finally, read more…
Many people come to your blog ah?
Not many. I would say around 20 (meter says from 10 to 30) a day. If I ‘ping’ at the PetalingStreet blog-tal, it reaches 40 to 50.
Why is your blog so serious one?
I know that sometimes I touch on some very sensitive issues. I also dun know why. Basically, this blog is very self-indulged. I write whatever came to my mind without thinking of the consequences (come on, readership is only 20…..almost all are my close online buddies whom I have never met….what’s the risk?)

Do you read a lot?
I don’t. I read daily but not a lot. I do not do any research before I post (er….er…because I am lazy). I write whatever came to my mind i.e my IMPRESSION or first take re certain issue. You see, my argument is simple. If the government announces certain policy and an average Joe like me (but me more ‘straight forward’) ‘feel’ in certain way…it means that (a) the government needs to explain more (b) there is something wrong with that announcement or decision.
